What are we doing?

How can we better prevent suicide?

Black Dog Institute - Lifespan

PRF enabled us to design a world-first suicide prevention framework. Called LifeSpan, it combines nine strategies into one community-led approach incorporating health, education, frontline services, business and the community. Thanks to PRF, we piloted LifeSpan in four NSW sites and scientifically assessed its impact. Our partnership was pivotal in gaining government support, allowing us to extend our program to 25 trial sites across different communities and in all Australian states.
