Deadly Connections Community and Justice Services

Who are we?
Deadly Connections Community and Justice Services
Deadly Connections (DC) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled (ACCO) not for profit organisation. Our purpose is to build stronger and safer families and communities by driving individual, social and systemic change through a multi layered approach of providing prevention, intervention and diversionary solutions, systemic/individual advocacy and raising community awareness through education. Deadly Connections is a culturally informed, trauma aware, community and peer designed org that places culture and healing at the centre of all we do. Through the provision of intensive, individualised, culturally safe, holistic approaches Deadly Connections promotes healing centred, sustainable positive change for people, families, and communities.
What are we doing?

Deadly Families (DF)

DF is a culturally responsive program within DC that provides intensive, cultural, practical support for Aboriginal Mums (& Dads) who are expecting (6-8 weeks from due date) or with children aged 0-5 years old across the Inner West/City of Sydney LGA's. The program is designed to disrupt and prevent FDV, homelessness, incarceration, substance misuse and other social challenges experienced at disproportionate levels by mob. We work to improve the safety and social and emotional well-being of parents and children by providing culturally safe support, information, support, advocacy and referral for up to 12 months.
