This research project will show how COVID might affect the employment prospects of young people and give us greater opportunity to reduce the typical scarring effects of a recession.

The e61 Institute for economic research combines innovative data with state-of-the-art tools from economics, data science, econometrics and machine learning to answer economic and social science questions. It brings together academia, industry and government to push the knowledge frontier and tackle the big problems facing society.

This project seeks to use advanced data analytics to understand the current or potential barriers labour markets for young job seekers and use the insights to help mitigate the impacts through policy and program options.
