Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong
Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong (KWT) is one of the only First Nations-led community-led philanthropic funds in Australia. Emerging as a leading philanthropic peer, KWT is transforming philanthropy and contributing to positive change with First Nations communities by building donors and delivering grants to First Nations community organisations.
What are we doing?

How might we develop a new and trusted way to recognise learning that enables every young person to thrive in learning, work and the community?

Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong - Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong (KWT) Funding Program

This partnership seeks to redistribute philanthropic power by providing funding for Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong to redistribute to First Nations people and communities in Victoria through grants of up to $10,000. As part of the collaboration, the Paul Ramsay Foundation is providing operational support and investing in the capacity of KWT to demonstrate their approach, which is aligned with culture and principles of self-determination. This partnership can provide insights about the most effective and culturally appropriate way to invest in First Nations leaders.
