Kura Yerlo

Who are we?
Kura Yerlo
Kura Yerlo is an Aboriginal controlled community organisation which has been providing services for Aboriginal people since 1983. We were formed as a grass roots organisation by a group of local Aboriginal community members, it has grown to provide services across the life spectrum across metropolitan Adelaide, including community projects that focus on positive outcomes. Culture is at the heart of all we do and is integrated throughout our groups and services.
What are we doing?

Community recovery workshops

We will extend our existing DFV programs to provide five highly specialised decolonised culturally informed, trauma integrated Family Violence / Community recovery workshops to community. These workshops were developed by Emeritus Professor Judy Atkinson and Dr Caroline Atkinson from We Al-li Programs and will be for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors of DFV, and First Nations perpetrators of DFV.
