Who are we?
Liberty Domestic & Family Violence Specialist Services
Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services is a registered not for profit in the Port Macquarie Hastings region. Since 1980 we’ve supported women and families affected by domestic and family violence and homelessness. The organisation began as the Hastings Women and Children’s Refuge Inc. over forty years ago and has evolved to offer a wide range of services for the community. We provide specialist domestic and family violence case management, crisis accommodation, transitional housing, support groups for women and children, perpetrator intervention programs and primary prevention programs with schools, community groups and businesses. 
What are we doing?

Liberty Safer Men Safer Families Program

Participants work with Liberty's Prevention and Men's Program Specialist to address the factors that influence their choice to use violence and abuse. In a case management model for up to 12 months, the program explores the impacts of domestic and family violence, power and control imbalance, cycle of violence, and self-awareness strategies. to promote non abusive behaviour. People can take part in the program for up to 12 months. Men receive access to tailored wrap-around supports from Liberty and partnering services to be a safer partner and/or parent. A specialist domestic and family violence worker offers support to current and former partners and families of the program participants.
