Who are we?
Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation
Tangententye Council Aboriginal Corporation is a proud Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, and our well established human services are trusted by community members for the organisation’s high level of cultural competency. We recognise that culture forms an integral part of an individual's identity, and recognition of its importance in terms of potential impact on overall wellness is therefore vital. Today, we deliver a wide range of services and participatory development activities to more than 10,000 people, in Alice Springs, its Town Camps and throughout Central Australia.
What are we doing?

Tangentyere Men's Behaviour Change Program - Peer support

The impact of DFSV on Aboriginal women and children in Central Australia is overwhelming and it is imperative that men who use violence, their partners/ex-partners and children have access to rigorous and evidence-based culturally safe programs. The Tangentyere MBCP responds to men’s use of violence addressing violence through risk assessment, groupwork and women’s safety work.
