Who are we?
Warringu Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders Corporation
Our organisation was established in January 1984 as a specialist domestic and family violence service to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children. We have consistently delivered services in Far North QLD for nearly 40 years. We operate a shelter for women and children escaping DFV situations and have recently embarked on a journey to expand our services to ensure our clients receive the best level of care, have access to the required support services, are provided with assistance to build strong and healthy relationships and education to look after themselves and their families to break unhealthy cycles to live a life free of violence.
