Yoowinna Wurnalung Aboriginal Healing Service (YWAHS) is an Aboriginal organisation, which is a Specialist Aboriginal Family Violence Service that provides response, prevention and healing services to Aboriginal communities. YWAHS has 28 staff providing services in Sale, Bairnsdale, Nicholson and Lakes Entrance, along with outreach services. YWAHS is the only healing service in the region and the only Aboriginal organisation that has a focus on primary prevention of family violence across the areas of Wellington and East Gippsland Shires- over 30,000 square kilometres. YWAHS has a proven record of delivering culturally appropriate services, projects and activities with Aboriginal communities.

Healing your Heart, Healing your Mind

Healing your Heart, Healing your Mind supports a range of activities and events based on community feedback which supports healing and connection to culture. The program has been based on research and experience regarding the immense impact of trauma on Aboriginal communities.
