On Wednesday 26 November 2025, the City of Sydney Local Planning Panel approved our Development Application (with some conditions) to make a series of minor operational changes at Yirranma Place (DA/2025/707). Details of these changes are outlined below, the Plan of Management is available here, and all additional DA documents can be found on the City of Sydney website.
Thank you to the many neighbours, community members and local organisations who engaged with us throughout the Development Application process — whether through the Drop-in Session, conversations, emails, or roundtables. Your feedback helped us refine the proposal, strengthen our mitigation strategies and, importantly, reinforce our commitment to being a thoughtful and respectful neighbour, now and into the future.
The City of Sydney now requires an amended Development Application be submitted to consolidate current operational consents in one place. This will provide building management and local residents a clearer view of operations at Yirranma Place.
We are establishing a Community Reference Group (CRG), which will meet three times per year to provide ongoing feedback about Yirranma Place operations, with the first meeting planned for Q2 2026. Expressions of interest to join the CRG are now open. Register your EOI.

What's changed: For-purpose organisations and local Darlinghurst community groups may now hold educational or information-based activities in the Blue Gum Hall.
+ We've published a public events calendar to highlight opportunities to connect with the precinct and engage with the social-purpose community.
+ Expressions of interest are now open to for-purpose organisations and local community groups to hold information and educational activities onsite. Event approval is subject to a rigorous approval process.
+ Commencing Q2 2026, a new Community Reference Group will meet three times a year to provide ongoing feedback on Yirranma Place operations, with membership refreshed annually. Submit an EOI to join the Community Reference Group.
+ A dedicated Residents Email Address has been established for issues requiring a quick turnaround, such as noise concerns, faults or operational observations.
What hasn't changed: There will be no changes to existing capacity (maximum 79 attendees), approved operating hours (events will continue to conclude by 10 PM), or the nature of events held at Yirranma Place (i.e. no commercial or private functions). A robust dual-screening process - by Two Good Co. and PRF - will ensure all events align with the precinct’s social purpose and have minimal, if any, local impact. We will continue to encourage guests to use ride share/taxi, public transport, or active transport options, helping to ease local parking pressure.
What's changed: Up to 12 'after-6pm' educational or information events per calendar month where food and beverage are served. All approved events must be educational or informational in nature and will conclude by 10pm.

The music will be delivered entirely via pre-set, professionally installed speakers in accordance with recommendations in the acoustic report (no DJs, bands, PA systems, or external sound equipment), and will be regularly monitored.
