Accountable Futures Collective (AFC) is a systems change initiative, working towards a society that deeply values children and young people and creates the conditions for them to thrive. Our purpose is to change systems so they stop harming generations of young people. We bring young people and adults together to solve the accountability void - what’s missing between the promises to young people and their experience in reality.
‘Yirranma’ is the tonal reverberation or sound within a chamber. Maungarei - Mt Wellington, in its natural state, would contribute this low drone created by the winds moving over its volcanic crater. This natural phenomenon existed before the migration of waka landing in the Tāmaki Makaurau region.
